Kahoot!

We had a whanau Kahoot quiz session on Wednesday Week 4.
The questions were a mixture of school rules, values, science, maths and literacy.

We found out that a whole whanau quiz was quite entertaining, as well as informative. Although this week Miss Kang created the quiz, the next Kahoot quiz will be created by students from the Hurungaterangi whanau.

Here is the lovely Ms. Law announcing the winning team.

Science Experts!

Our class became the 'teachers' for our whanau. We made our own lesson plans with Learning Intentions and Success Criteria.
We taught the rest of the Whanau about viscosity by making oobleck. We learned as a whole that teaching is not as easy as it looks (and Miss Kang laughed for a long time)

Pathway s Celebration

In Term 2 Week 1, our Hurungaterangi whanau celebrated student progress and achievement in Pathways.

Here are some snapshots of H3 students receiving bands for their awesome work.

Nicholas and Heath for Design Engineering

Joshua and Ezra for Coding

Harriet for Hauora

Helga and Luke for Minecraft

Ethan and Jared for Graphic Design

Tia and Bailey for Music Performance

Dayna, Kate and DeeJay for Culinary Arts

Ela and Neve for Performance Media

Well done to those who have received the bands,  and also to the rest of our H3 students who have worked hard (and was the best bunch- I'm sure).

Mountain biking race

6 boys, 2 girls, 3 parents and 1 teacher, all went to the Waikato Schools Mountain Biking event at Te Miro bike park on the 11th of April.

Conditions: Muddy and sunny.
Distance: 9 kilometres, or 3 laps.

I came 7th in the year 7 girls, and Heath came 12th in the year 7 boys.
My opinion: I have to say this event was very well
organised, so it wasn't confusing and it was my first time.
Heath’s opinion: It was fun.
